Ways to Give
Every gift helps Lutheran Sunset Home continue to provide the quality of services that the residents and tenants entrusted to our care so richly deserve.
Whether large or small, one time or recurring, part of a fundraiser or an estate plan, they all make a difference and are very much appreciated.
Memorials and gifts to honor an individual or an occasion are an excellent way to provide a tribute to someone.
There are many ways to give a gift that will benefit the residents and staff of Lutheran Sunset Home and also may have some tax advantages for the donor.
- Outright gifts of cash.
- Stocks and securities that have appreciated in value.
- A gift to our Endowment Fund has the potential for significant North Dakota State tax credits, along with Federal tax savings, and you can designate what the interest income is to be used for if you so desire. The principal always remains intact.
- Personal property can include many items ranging from artwork to automobiles.
- Real Estate.
- Life Insurance. Name Lutheran Sunset Home as a beneficiary of all or a portion of a policy.
FOUNDERS "152" CLUB
The original Sunset Founders Club was organized in 1968 as an organization to assist the financial needs of Lutheran Sunset Home. Their major means of securing donations was the "52" Club which was based on the idea of pledging $1, $2 $4, or more per week for 52 weeks. The "52" Club and the Sunset Founders banquets were their major fundraising activities' from 1968 to 1988 (when it became inactive.)
To honor the dedicated original "Sunset Founders", Lutheran Sunset Home established the Founders "152" Club in 2015. It will include all persons who give a minimum of $152 in a calendar year. This will include cash gifts, memorials, and tributes that are given throughout the year. A plaque recognizing all members of the "152" Club will be updated on an annual basis.
